We will not talk in jargon – you will find us down to earth and will keep your budget firmly in mind when we are making recommendations. You may only want a bathroom redesign – or a whole home revamp – the size of the job is immaterial. We just love doing what we do and all of us are skilled at finding the furnishings to suit.
The range of suppliers we work with and are able to recommend is immense –we work with companies you won’t have heard of through to High Street retailers – from galleries in Copenhagen through to a Cornish maker of pretty and unusual things for your home. We will first and foremost listen to your preferences - colour, style and the ‘look’ you are aiming for. It is your home – who are we to impose our thoughts on your space? So we will guide you and come up with suggestions you may not have thought of – and through our conversations with you will come up with a plan to take forwards
For Commercial Projects.
We will work with you from the initial stages by providing any of the skills you may need on site from day one – structural engineer, architect or surveyor, and then all the trades you need to complete the task ahead. We could talk to planners if required, which should reassure them that your project is in safe hands.
Are you revamping your hotel or restaurant? Rethinking the café or bar to keep it up to date? All businesses need to keep moving to stay ahead of the competition – which in every high street in the land is fierce.
Your project and its deadlines are important to us. We will do our level best to keep the trades on track to meet our commitment to you and the project which is so close to your heart – and your bank balance!

Charlie Howe Design has its roots firmly planted in the Wiltshire countryside in a village with a duckpond. We have built a reputation locally as a family business who consistently get things done – and we promise not to disappoint you! Our team continues to expand, and are hoping to continue to grow organically, with an office in Leeds soon to be opened and a further one in London planned. We also have big plans to work in the lovely city of Cartagena in Murcia, Spain.
Jenny Holt has a background in Art and Design, having studied Fine Art at Bath Art College, and having considerable experience in renovating property of every vintage from medieval through to new build. Tra Watts studied Interior Design and brings great enthusiasm and knowledge to every project she undertakes.
Recent projects have included the oversight of a major renovation project on a large Grade 2 office building , with a roof which should have been repaired some years previously, and walls which are moving (and not in a good way!) through to a new bathroom for a home locally.
We have also worked on a whole home design for a client with a new apartment on the Thames, and renovated a 13th Century property in the South of France, requiring high end language skills to discuss (!) with the equivalent of English Heritage certain aspects of the project!
We are unfailingly good humoured albeit very serious about our work. We truly love every new project and relish the idea of being creative on your behalf.
